FAQ
Do you use paraffin in your candles? No, there is no paraffin wax in our wax. Our wax formulation is all-natural soy wax.
What kind of wicks do you use? We use Eco-friendly wooden wicks that are made from FSC certified wood.
Are your products tested on animals? No, we are proud to say that none of our products are tested on animals and are all vegan and cruelty-free.
What kind of materials are used in packaging? All of our packaging is either biodegradable, recyclable, or made from recycled materials. When you receive your package, please dissolve the biodegradable packing peanuts in water and reuse or recycle your shipping box.
What should I do with my empty glass jar once I have burned the candle? We encourage you to clean the vessel once you are finished with the candle and reuse it to enjoy your favorite beverage.
How can I maximize my burn hours? All of our candles do not need to be trimmed on the first light; if the wick appears to be too long, only trim half of its size. You want a relatively average size flame on your first burn, and the burn time should roughly be 3-4 hours; always monitor your candle during lighting sessions, and always place your candle on top of a heat resistance area. Remember, you always want to let the wax completely melt evenly on the top, especially during your first light to prevent tunneling. Please email us if you have any other candle care questions.
When do I trim my wick? After you have gone through the first burn, ensuring that the top layer of wax melts edge to edge, and the wax has hardened, on your second lighting and all future lightings we recommend trimming your wick with a wick trimmer down to 1/4”, no less.
Where are your products made? Our products are hand poured in the United States.
Are your products safe for skin or can they be ingested? Our candles and home fragrances were created free from Phthalates, Parabens, SLS, SLES, and Mutagens, but they are not intended for topical or oral consumption. Please do not use them for any thing other than their intended purpose.
Do you offer international shipping? We currently do not offer international shipping, but we hope to some day.
My candle(s) arrived damaged, help! Sometimes these things happen when carriers mishandle our packages. Please email us your unboxing experience with a couple of photos and send to hello@shopgoodtheory.com and then safely discard the broken merchandise. Once we have reviewed your images, we will inform you as to whether or not we can issue a one-time replacement fee for the product(s) that arrived damaged. We do not offer refunds on shipping, taxes, or any other fees. The amount reimbursed will be for the damaged product(s) only.
What if I am unhappy with my purchase? Oh No! We hope that's never the case, but if you ever find yourself unsatisfied with our products, please email us at hello@shopgoodtheory.com so that we can make it right.

We are a small female owned business, with a one person team and would love all the support we can get.
What organizations does your company donate to? As of right now we are focusing on organizations that help with hunger and homelessness such as Feeding America and The Other Ones.
